A music video vignette exercise for my upcoming short film, Indulge and one-woman show, Body Electric. Both pieces will explore my time as an exotic entertainer in NYC.
Clarissa Davis - Short Film

A short film study of Clarissa Davis, an enslaved woman who found her way to freedom dressed as a man and hidden in a box on a boat from Virginia to Massachusetts. Original story in, "The Underground Railroad," by William Still.
BIO
An artist from the beginning, Long Beach, CA native China began producing, writing, dancing, arranging music and writing poetry at the age of 6. A graduate of Long Beach Renaissance High School for the Arts, UC Davis with a BA in Creative Writing, and The Stella Adler Studio of Acting with an MFA Equivalent in Dramatic Arts, China has always used art as a vehicle for expression and survival.
She is currently working on her first professional short film, Indulge, directed by Aliza Brugger, composed by Zoe Briskey, and produced by Arlyn de Santos, slated for completion in September 2025. Her one-woman theater show, Body Electric, is set to premiere in 2026.
You can find her walking around in Harlem, at pilates class or drinking coffee in Riverside Park.
